    Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking into professional ghost writing services and wanted to hear what others think. There are so many companies and individual ghostwriters offering help with books, memoirs, novels, business books, and self-help projects, so it can be difficult to know who is actually a good fit.

For me, the most important things would be writing quality, communication, experience in the specific genre, confidentiality, and whether the ghostwriter can maintain the author’s personal voice. I also think it’s important to discuss the process upfront, including research, outlines, revisions, deadlines, ownership rights, and the overall cost.

If anyone here has hired a ghostwriter before, what was your experience like? Were there any questions you wish you had asked before signing an agreement?

I’d especially appreciate recommendations on what to look for when comparing different ghostwriting services. I’m interested in hearing genuine experiences from people who have worked with ghostwriters rather than simply choosing a service based on advertising or website claims.

What would you consider the biggest red flags when hiring a ghostwriter?
